The Regulatory and Affective Dynamics (RAD) Lab at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) is dedicated to understanding how emotions and regulatory responses unfold over time to determine a person’s sense of well-being. HART Lab: Research Assistants Positions Open!

Research Lab #2: HART Lab 

The HART lab is seeking volunteers who are interested in gaining experience with human research and are available to come to the Mississauga campus (Deerfield Hall). This study will involve monitoring and recording participant heart rate and may especially be of interest to those interested in health psychology, psychophysiology, and/or social justice research.

Volunteers will be asked to be present in the lab at set times for between 1.5 to 10.5 hours per week. This amount of time is flexible, will vary by week, and will depend on the number of volunteers hired.

Preference will be given to students in their 3rd and 4th (or higher) year of their degree. No prior experience with physiology research is necessary.

PAL Lab: Research Assistants Positions Open!

Research Lab #1: Perception Action and Language Laboratory 

Perception Action and Language Laboratory is looking for new volunteers to help with exciting research conducted at their laboratory at UTM!  This research focuses on aspects of real-time language processing in adults and draws on a range of high-tech methodologies including eye tracking and social robotics.

These positions are ideal for students with a background in the psychology of language, linguistics and/or cognitive/perceptual psychology.

Duties may include: the engineering of experimental stimuli, meeting participants and conducting interview, testing participants in experiments, and aspects of data analysis.
